Here are a few of our recent experiences:
- In 2006, BDA was hired to
provide subject matter expertise
in leading efforts to develop a
comprehensive Continuity of
Operations Plan for the National
Weather Service's
Telecommunications Gateway (NWSTG),
the system used to provide
up-to-the-minute weather data to
the Federal Aviation
Administration, Emergency
Management Agencies, and other
organizations that rely on time
sensitive weather data to
fulfill their missions.
NWSTG is also using the
CONTINUUM application
https://continuumbcp.com to
complete their Business Impact
Analysis.
- In 2006, BDA Global and its
partner IIF Data was
awarded a contract to develop a
Business Continuity Plan for the
Defense Logistics Agency's
Defense Services Center
Philadelphia (DSCP). The
project scope entails performing
a risk assessment, conducting a
business impact analysis, and
developing business continuity
strategies for DSCP's
operations.
- In 2006 BDA Global and its
strategic partner, Advanced
Continuity, completed the
development of a comprehensive
business continuity plan for the
Police and Fire Federal Credit
Union (PFFCU), one of the
nation's largest credit unions
with over 2 billion dollars in
assets. PFFCU is also
using BDA Global's BCP tool,
CONTINUUM, to manage its BCP.
- From 2005 to present BDA
Global consultants have been
working with the Pan American
Development Foundation to
provide Business Continuity
Planning (BCP) training and
technical assistance to
businesses and government
throughout the Americas.
Thus far, BDA consultants have
provided training to over 100
businesses and government
agencies in Costa Rica,
Colombia, and Trinidad & Tobago.
The PADF is also using BDA
Global's BCP tool, CONTINUUM
https://www.continuumbcp.com, to develop their internal BCP.
- From 2005 to 2006 BDA Global
worked with the the US Agency
for International Development to
perform a comprehensive review
of the operations of the FRAME
Natural Resource Management (NRM)
program run out of the Office of
Economic Growth, Agriculture,
and Trade. The review
entailed a web-based survey,
analysis of key program
components, and interviews with
stakeholders, resulting in
over 70 recommendations for
program improvement, many which
are being implemented.
- From 2004 to 2006 BDA Global
consultants worked on a major
restructuring of the
administrative offices of the
National Institute of Allergies
and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)
within the National Institutes
of Health. BDA Global's
role included developing
standard operating procedures
for the Office of Strategic
Management, which included 3
major branches responsible for
budget management, strategic
planning, and mission planning.
- In 2005 a BDA consultant
managed a project to develop a
Business Continuity Plan for the
Universal Service Administration
Company (USAC), the quasi
governmental organization that
administers the Universal
Service Fund on behalf of the
Federal Communications
Commission.
- From 2004 to 2005 a BDA
consultant managed a project to
provide business impact analysis
services to the American
Psychological Association.
The project involved identifying
critical processes and personnel
for business continuity planning
and developing recommendations
and guidance to achieve business
resilience.
- From 2004 - 2005 a BDA consultant
assisted the Office of
Enterprise Architecture within
the Department of Veterans'
Affairs with business continuity
planning services, including
Business Impact Analysis and
continuity planning guidance.
- In 2005, a BDA consultant
performed a review of the
operations of the State
Education Office of the District
of Columbia. The review
involved mapping existing
processes, benchmarking against
other State's activities, and
developing recommendations for
process improvement.
- In 2005, a BDA consultant
led the process review portion
of a project to analyze
performance and internal
controls for the Asset Sales
Office of the Department of
Housing and Urban Development.
- In 2004, a BDA consultant
completed a report to the
Pension Benefit Guaranty
Corporation's Office of the
Inspector General on the
efficiency and effectiveness of
the organization's field benefit
administration functions, with
detailed recommendations for
process improvement.
